Out of cyberspace, a firecracker is coming directly towards us, which with its mixture of industrial, trance, hellektro, electro and techno will transform every dancefloor into a sea of flames!
EXT!ZE are shrill, crazy and grotesque, like colourful neon light which flickers like crazy to the hypnotic rhythms coming out of the speakers and which shows the way to the decadent nightlife.
We met Cyberella in Frankfurt and had 5 Minutes with him:
Hello Cyberella, great to have the opportunity to meet you in person. How did EXT!ZE come to live at all?
Cyberella: I was a musician long time before. In the beginnings i played in several French metal bands... When i came into the gothic scene i was fascinated about these fucked up harsh, but still clean sounds, and i was wondering how to realize it. Then i started trying out to create my own sound. It sounded horrible in the early beginnings... But by degrees and with some help with experienced people, i managed to gather some experience on my own, until these process ended up in the Extize sound you know today. Finally there was nothing left but founding a band.
And who is with you in the band?
Cyberella: EXT!ZE consists of Cyb3rella (Me, France) doing the vocals and Keyboards, Ionic Matrix (Germany) playing Keyboards and Guitar, Cyb3rSlut (France) at the drumpad and Cyb3rc0re playing the Sampling and Sound designer role!
We also have a really fantastic team offstage, from which you could say EXT!ZE wouldn't be the same without, inter alia our manager and backing voice „Petite Chauve Souris“, our friends from the CrazyCut-Factory, who are caring about our merch stuff (
www.crazycut.industrial-infection.de) and who are also active as musicians with Nexus Nemesis, our crazy webmaster Pi'R, DJ Barus the Assassin... and not to forget our label „Trisol“!!!
What does the name EXT!ZE stand for?
Cyberella: Extize doesn't mean anything on first sight, but it ought to ponder a mixture of different feelings, that confronted me while i was moving in the gothic scene. That means in detail a world of Emotions, states of mind, party, fascination and mystery... But the main word is extasy (which means something like euphoria not the drug... or maybe this is hitting the spot?).
You have finally found a label. How did the signing happen with Trisol?
Cyberella: Quite simply, one day i got mail, two weeks later a recording contract!
What can you disclose about the debut-EP „Hellektrostar“?
Cyberella: Loud, acute, provocative, and just right in the kisser! No more an insiders tip: Nachtmahr (Austria), Reaper (Germany) and Studio-X (Australia) are also featured on the EP...
How about your future, any gigs planned?
Cyberella: Of cooooouuurse!!! We had our first live gig on September the 26th in 2009 in Lahr (Germany), playing on the Dark Dance Treffen 31 with Nachtmahr, Reaper, Faderhead, Eisenfunk and more... We're just planning other gigs all over Europe right now...
When will we all see the first album and what name will it bear?
Cyberella: The album called “Fall0ut Nation” will be released probably in November! With lots of suprises...
