Nie Mehr!

Interview:
- ASP - Requiembryo
- ASP: Who Else?

<< Back

ASP has grown into one of the most popular gothicrock bands in Germany in the last years. Elements of classic gothrock and modern electro, very strong songwriting and impressive imagery have rapidly made this band popular. To celebrate their new tour ASP released a limited cd you could only buy at concerts. The previous albums Aus Der Tiefe and Requiembryo sold very well, the singles Ich Binn Ein Wahrer Satan, Duett and Werben all made it into the charts and the band toured across the country. The single Nie Mehr is taken from the limited edition of Requiembryo and is on this special tour release completed with various remixes and bonus tracks. Of the extra tracks especially the compelling gothic rock song ‘Sara’ delivers. This song reminds of the heydays of The Mission. ‘Me’ of Aus Der Tiefe’ is now represented on this release in a video edit. Of ‘Mercy’ we get the powerful Suicide Commando remix and ‘Never More’ is the interpretation of ‘Nie Mehr’ by the British gothmetal band Lahannya. This version also features the female vocals of Lahannya herself. ‘Frieden in Land’ and ‘Sage Nein!’ are cover versions of songs from the German folkrock artist Konstantin Wecker. There are also two live versions on this cd, recorded at the Amphi festival of last summer: ‘How Far Would You go?’ (also known as the 6 th of September) and the popular track ‘Werben’. These songs show that an ASP concert can be one hell of a party. This cd is perhaps still available through the webshop of the band, but you’d better hurry up.
