Akoasma - Horror Vacui Live

Interview:
- ASP - Requiembryo
- ASP: Who Else?

<< Back

After an introduction to start up the crowd this live album opens with “how far would you go” a well appreciated start of as you can hear by the screams of the audience on the background. This song immediately sets the tone for the rest of the album. An energetic performance with a sound which resembles the albums but is really alive and well performed. At the end of the third track Alexander shows his vocal qualities by finishing the song without backing music. There is a nice balance between the best known songs of ASP and the less known songs, this keeps you listening to this enervating album. You can hear on the album that ASP is used to large stage performances and does this in a relaxed manner as he is playing with the way he brings his songs. Similar as on the albums there are smooth switches between english and german while retaining a similar atmosphere. The second Cd opens with the sounds of the violin used in “Krabat”. This dark song drags you into the right atmosphere again. This 2nd CD also contains the hit singel “Ich bin ein wahrer satan” which caused quite some controversy in the german charts. Followed immediatley by “Duett” clearly preparing for the end of the show.

The last four tracks of the album are presented as “Zugabe”. This also includes the hits “Finger weg! Finger”, and “Ich wil brennen”

As usual the design of the album is beautifull and the booklet contains many live photographs. Completing the live CD is an endorsement to come and see them again as there is a reduction included in tickets for the 2009 tour. This limited edition album will be a must have for the fans, especially the ones that have been in the shows presented on the album.
