Hellektrostar

Interview:
- Ext!ze: Hellektrostar

<< Back

One would expect that a big underground label such as Trisol no longer will come with a release in a genre that’s totally run dry, but apparently I am completely wrong with that, as the German-French hellektro outfit Ext!ze releases their debut EP Hellektrostar on this label. The title track of this disc is a big success on dance floors of industrial clubs in Germany and when you listen to the track you can understand why. A voice with a heavy German (or is it French?) accent opens the track with the lyric ‘give me a fucking beat’ and this is what happens next. Hellektrostar is a heavy duty club industrial track with pounding EBM, Darkcore and trance influences. Cyber industrial for hyperactive young club visitors in the realms of gothic music. The motto is to dance your asses off. This also goes for ‘100 % Pure Cocaine’ and ‘Red Water’. As bonus you get on this disc two more remixes by Reaper and Nachtmahr but they do not add much to the already blunt original. It is not special but these couple of tracks from this band do sound awesome and better than the average mediocre electro-techno industrial-noize of the recent years. Whether it will be a lasting band remains to be awaited.
