This new MCD of ASP starts of with a co-operation with the lead singer of In Extremo. Wer Sonst? is actually featured three times on this MCD. The first edit with Micha Rhein, the original version and a remix by Project Pitchfork. The song itself can be described as typical for ASP, the sound and melodies fit with previous work. The song tells the tale of someone who is the only hope to save a group of people. The second track following the tale tells of how this person get’s lost in the fairytale country where people have stolen het soul. There is only one direction to go. This song retains the same style and is easily accessible to a bigger audience. The third track is a cover from The Cult “Rain”, actually ASP has made the song more complete than the original version and certainly more bombastic. Hereafter follows “Kummer” which can be interpreted as the final storyline in this tale (at least on this MCD), here someone left behind by the person whose soul was stolen and entered the fairytale forest to recover her soul but got lost tells about the feelings he has after this tragic loss. This song is much darker than the other tracks. Another version of this song is the last track of the album adding to atmosphere by wailing cat sounds.

This promises much for the upcoming full length album!
