I used to
write for Gothcore. After a few quiet years I decided to start reviewing again,
because the love for music has never left me. Rock, Indie, Lo-fi, Industrial,
Wave and Metal: it’s all there and I love them all.

Hi, my name is Sabrina also know as Chrysomallousa. I love metalmusic and I am always there where I can find some good music. It would be an honour  to write about bands that are new but I also love the old work.
I live in Zoetermeer and I travel a lot to see my favourite bands.
My most favourite bands are:
The Wounded, Entwine, Epica, Riverside, Anathema, Katatonia, Draconian, Autumn, Stream of Passion, Delain, Leaves Eyes, The Dreamside, Asrai, Paradise Lost. But my list is much bigger than that.
If you'd like to know some thing or you have a question,  just ask me. You can also find me on Myspace.

I know this world is existing
There is a problem with it, we call sense
But sense does not come with kisses
Sense is resistant to love and to hate
( taken from Novy Svet - Resistant )
I compensate my lack of talent for playing instruments by enjoying the music made by others. Together with Philth Spectre I organize Club Le Moulin NoirÂ

Hi!
My name is Dave, I'm a 23 year old college student living in the city of Groningen. I study multimedia/design and aim to do something productive with that one of these days.
I listen to and enjoy most forms of metal and rock. I'm mainly into doom metal and all of it's offshoots (predominantly sludge) though. I love stoner of all kinds and I really like post-rock, ambient, drone, triphop, folk and a lot of electronic music as well. I hope you enjoy reading my work!

I'm known as Hazzard from Groningen, and I write Audio-reviews for this e-zine. Expect me to be reviewing through most of the regions of the so called Goth kinds of music. A short sum-up:
Date of birth: August 23, 1985
Date of death: not sure
CoD:Â Haven't figured that part out either
Current daytime activities: Student in Social Legal Services, Call Center Agent
I like to listen to a lot of stuff, from old school Industrial and Postpunk, through to Aggrotech, Lo-Fi and Newer Wave.
A. Schönberg: "I find above all that the expression, 'atonal music,' is most unfortunate... it is on a par with calling flying 'the art of not falling,' or swimming 'the art of not drowning.'"

My name is Iriz, I am dutch/english but I live in Germany. I have been a musicfreak ever since I can remember, and without music I wouldn´t even know how to survive one day.
Other passions of mine are photographing and writing. That way I have the perfect combination to photograph and write reviews for Gothtronic ;)
Music feeds my disturbed soul.... and I hope to feed others again from the impressions that come into my mind via pics and words :)
Please visit me on my myspace for more concert and other pictures.
Cheers!

In every experience you can find music.
Every thought can bring you some nice sounds.
Think with music and find out that in every day has his moments to use that.
Life is much better with it. That's something I know.
I'm in love with music.
I know there's no answer, but a wonderful eclipse (Kirlian Camera - Eclipse)

Â
Somewhere in the nineties I started photographing small concerts. I found this so much fun that it became a great hobby. Eventually I turned up taking photo's for the Effenaar venue in 1992. Photographing for the Effenaar never became a succes, mainly because of my study and the inturns. After a very busy year photographing I quit working for the Effenaar and eventually I stopped visiting concerts. But at the end of 2006 I tried it again with my new digital camera and all the benifits that came with this (and there were a lot of benifits). Now, a few years later, I am back where I stopped in 1993.
I started photographing for Gothronic in 2008, and was asked to write reviews as well. This I found to be very hard because photographing and reviewing are two things that don't get along very well, but I try.

Veghel. I like to listen to 80's goth-rock, new wave, post-punk and new romantic. Those are also the genres in which I specialized here on Gothtronic. I occasionally DJ at New Wave parties. Ron Schoonwater (Beautevil) and I organize the "Unknown Pleasure" nights in the venue
W2 in 's-Hertogenbosch. Besides that I organized a wave/gothic party called "Nachtschade" in the venue
Goudvishal in Arnhem.

My name is Stefan de Jong (otherwise known as Nosferius), I am busy at various levels in the music industry. From playing classical piano to playing keyboards/synths in my own project TuraTempla and in Fertile Reality. Since a small while I DJ as well. I also sometimes produce music for other musicians.
So now having a bit of experience in making music I'll now go out and write reviews, I will be honestly critical and I'll try to be constructive while I am at it so that the band who got reviewed will be able to do something with it.
Happy reading.
p.s. If for any reason you would like to contact me through any other means then e-mail, ask.

Hello!
As I grew up in my 9-year-older sister's room, where I have always been drowning in the old-school wave and punk. Later on, after my first few parties @ The Steeple (Waregem - B), my interests in the 'goth'-scene became larger and more extended. The electronic sounds became a part of my life.
As I was tired of being a passive listener only, I wanted to become a DJ. After several try-outs in the local youth-pub, I took the step to The Steeple, where I had the best sets in my life: afterparties for e.g. Deine Lakaien and Das Ich and the afterparty of the 2006 Gothic Festival.
As I got older (aheum), I wanted to be a bit more at ease, so now I'm just a freelance DJ.

This little crew place is dedicated to Spiderlace and his work.
Spiderlace once started the Gothcore zine which was the first succesful Dutch ezine focussing on gothic music in a broader sense than ever before.
Gothcore died in 2003 and together with the content of the Electronic Diseases zine and the content of the Gates of Elyzium reviews, it's content formed the first start for Gothtronic as an ezine.Â
Â
Spiderlace looks back upon these times with feelings of joy and satisfaction and he wishes the Gothtronic crew all the best for the future.Â
We would like to thank Spiderlace for his work with promoting dark music throughout The Netherlands. We feel honoured to be able to take this to the next level. Partly because of the work Spiderlace did before us. We wish Spiderlace all the best for the future as well.Â
